I needed more handlebar space on my road bike to accommodate a new rear view camera and existing headlight. I didn't want anything too heavy. I weighed this rig and it only weighs 3.2 ounces. It was relatively easy to install (even without instructions - they weren't included). It was a little difficult to tighten enough to stay in place even with the rubber pads provided. It comes with an allen wrench for tightening the bolts, so I just stick it in my saddlebag in case it loosens up while riding. So far I'm happy with this rod. It does exactly what I needed.
