Using my calibrated TDS meter I have found that the new membrane has a 79% rejection after extensive rinsing. The rejection rate is the percentage of deterrents that the membrane prevents from entering your drinking water. New reverse osmosis membranes should offer a filtration rate of about 98% or more. It took a lot of water to flush this set of filters and the double o-ring on the carbon pre-filter had trouble fitting into the filter cap seat on my Microline filter system. I was disappointed for a Made in USA product. Next time I will make sure the filters are NSF certified before purchasing as I intend to drink the water these filters produce.
