It makes them stand up nicely and I can't imagine the back falling off like that.
Tight-fitting. I used a screw on the back for security. My diamonds are too heavy for my aging earlobes and they are sagging. This makes them stand up well and I can't imagine the back coming off as the fit is very secure. Slept with them for a week holiday and am still safe.
