Review on Reisong A10 EL34 Hi-Fi Audio Stereo Tube Amplifier Single-ended Class-A Amplifier by Balthazar Cooper

First impression: this amp looks good and sounds great! Its sound is warm, deep, rich and voluminous. Combine it with a set of efficient speakers and enter the world of high-quality tube sound. I've just spent a few hours listening to this device and these are my first impressions. Will update with additional observations as I listen more. This unit arrived today (about 10 days after ordering - pretty quick shipping from overseas) and it's HEAVY. The packaging was superb and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the amp looks live. It was easy to set up - it took less than a minute to install 5 tubes. (I freaked out when I saw 4 tube boxes with 5 tube slots, but one box had 2 small tubes packed together.) I wasn't given instructions in English, but the numbers were pretty clear. (Just look at the pictures online if you're not sure which tube goes where.) Larger tubes have a small notch on the bottom so there's really only one way to install them. The packaging was once again first class: the tubes were in a separate box and the amp was fully boxed and in a protective foam rubber hanger. The buttons look and feel great - a very solid mechanism. Very impressed so far. Now for the sound: HOLY WOW! Recommendations said this guy would take 30-100 hours to fully break in, but its potential was clearly audible right out of the box. The sound was airy and spacious, giving each instrument its own breathing space and personality in the mix. There is VERY depth and the bass is rich and not as limp as some other tube amps. I used my usual mix of classical, vocal, jazz and contemporary music and was very impressed with the initial results. I have this amp with a pair of Zu Audio Omen DW Mk II speakers (rated at 97dB into 12 ohms) and the match is pretty good. All I can say is when the amp sounds this good right out of the box, I want to hear it blossom when it's fully broken in!
