I like this umbrella. It is high quality and therefore compact. It's not as big as I was hoping or thought the description might be misleading as to how big it could be. I'll show you a comparison of my golf umbrella alongside. While it's not as big as I was hoping, I like that it's suitable for general use. Good to have in the car in case it rains unexpectedly. I LOVE how it opens and closes. This makes it a lot easier to use than my others. (Note, however, that after the second press of the button to close, you must pull the umbrella back to the beginning to open it again). It's nice that it has a flashlight at the bottom and a reflective strip around the edges. .I'm not a fan of the included leather-like case as it makes it heavier so I'm not sure I would take this umbrella with me when I fly somewhere. I got this umbrella just before we had some big crazy storms and I decided to give it a try to see how well it handles heavy rain and heavy rain. much, it didn't matter between them. However, if you have two people underneath, I'm not sure this umbrella will keep them both dry. I had to tilt it slightly to reduce the amount of rain and probably the second person would have been left out in the rain. any problems with it. What surprised me is that compared to my golf umbrella, this umbrella was not wet which I think you can see in the photos. It cracks immediately. All in all I would recommend this umbrella if you are looking for something semi compact and for yourself. I'm retired now but thought it would be a great umbrella for the office/car on those rainy days. It's smaller than a golf umbrella and dries much faster. Also, the inverted closure is great for getting in or out of the car (you won't get as much spray when you close it. It's also easier to shake off the rain.
