My experience with Gandi was less than satisfactory.

After being a customer for several years, I decided to switch to GoDaddy because of their cheaper prices and more friendly customer service. In the process of switching domains, I received a message from Gandi informing me that they would be removing my domain registration and giving me an option to renew it at a higher price. Although I was happy to receive the notification, I did not choose to renew my domain due to the fact that I didn't feel that it was necessary to spend additional money on something that I felt was already working well. My domain registration was subsequently cancelled and a letter was mailed stating that my domain had been deactivated. Upon opening the letter, I discovered that the letter was addressed to the wrong address (which happens quite frequently) and was returned as undeliverable. I then called customer service, and although the representative assured me that my account was active, she told me that she would need to verify my credit card information and transfer the balance before reactivating my account.
