After the recent earthquakes and my new rescue dog breaking into my closets I decided I needed to protect them. These are super strong magnets. I bought a different type from a different supplier and ended up not using them, just ordered more of them. They fit well on the cabinets and hold everything very securely. To open the cabinets you have to make an effort by pulling the handle. I was so impressed with them that I even thought of another use for them. I also had heavy oak closet doors that sat on sliders that wouldn't stay closed because the ceiling sagged. The doors opened easily and rolled slightly toward the center. I installed one on each side of the door and outer gap and the magnet is strong enough to keep the doors closed so they don't roll on the rails due to gravity.
