This simple automatic switch is inexpensive and easy to install. I only noticed one small problem with this switch. The battery voltage reading is consistently low, at least half a volt (0.5 VDC). Both my solar charge controller and inverter have digital displays that show battery voltage, and this switch always reads 1/2 volt lower battery voltage. It's not a major issue, but this issue has been noted in other customer reviews. If any of the above conditions occur, the switch will switch to mains power, keeping the appliances running and the food at the right temperature. In the event of an inverter shutdown and power failure, it would be easy to connect generator power to this switch instead of connecting it to the grid. Connecting two devices directly to the generator outputs or using the generator and charger to fully charge the batteries. it is a very convenient automatic switch. The upper and lower switching limits are easily set from the front panel, and the transmission time is so fast that the devices connected to its output are not even interrupted. My chest freezer has an alarm and a flashing amber light to warn if the power has been interrupted for even a short period of time. When this switch is toggled from inverter AC output to grid power, the freezer will never detect a transfer and the warning light will never illuminate. Online demos of this switch show the computer running from the inverter and then allowing the switch to switch to utility power and the computer never hangs or even notices the transfer. Except for a small problem with the battery voltage indicator, I can highly recommend this device.
