This is a better machine than any coffee maker we've had (about $10 cheap to $200 including Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach, Mr. Coffee ). He feels tighter. The parts fit better together.* The carafe keeps the coffee warm for more than 12 hours. A heating pad is not required. The design is excellent. The buttons are simple, clear, and all in one place. Access to the coffee capsules and filter is easily accessible - even under the cabinet. The water tank can be moved to the side or to the rear - brilliant!* No need to measure the amount of water for each infusion. Simply fill the water tank to "Max Fill" and set the number of cups using the brewing buttons. The coffee machine uses the required amount of water and leaves the rest in the tank. The thing is well designed and well made.
