I have attached them to the inside of kitchen cupboards to hang tea towels. This allows them to dry out and also remain invisible. Later they were placed in other useful places: in the "room” of the laundry room for storing bags for delicate items and the like. Haven't tried them with heavy stuff but they hold up great with these light ones.
