That's the whole story. I flushed the engine bay with water and the car ran fine. The next day it was very rough, the transmission would not shift to the right and the check engine light came on with an airflow sensor error code. I installed this product but the car still wouldn't run and the check engine light came on again, this time for the throttle position sensor. I checked the throttle position sensor and it was faulty, replaced it and everything seemed fine. After a while the Check Engine light came on but the car ran fine. Time passed and I changed the oxygen sensors and the check engine light went on and off. I ended up taking it to a mechanic who said the MAF was faulty. I kept the original and when I put it back in, the check engine light finally went out! The original sensor is expensive but clearly durable.
