I used this adapter to connect my TV to a PC with a 30ft HDMI cable, obviously with a DisplayPort connector on the PC. Adapters can be arbitrary when using very long HDMI cables, but this unit didn't disappoint, playing HD video and audio with no issues. The fact that the adapter doesn't have a short end-to-end cable (instead a single compact piece) probably helps. Sure, now I have this long, solid piece coming out of the back of the PC, but it's in the back and not visible, so it's not a problem.
