Review on SPACEKEEPER 4-Tier Mobile Shelving Unit: Versatile Storage Cart for Kitchen, Bathroom, and Living Room by Guled Hamilton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good as the pantry/food overflows

I read the reviews before purchasing so I was careful in putting this together. Do not grab the metal bars by the ends or they will cut you. Despite the lack of instructions, I had no problems assembling it. Simply choose a shelf for the floor, turn it over and insert the wheels into the holes. Then turn the shelf over and put 4 metal bars inside. Place the next shelf on these metal bars and press down. lather, rinse, repeat. When you get to the top, put small plastic plugs in the holes to prevent kids from sticking their fingers in. I used a hammer to hammer these caps in, but that's the only tool I needed. I didn't know what to do with the plastic clips, but then I realized they were there to attach pockets to the side of the device. Installation took 5 minutes. I bought it to stack groceries. I live in an apartment with a very small closet so after the pandemic I used a spare room as a pantry and all my food was on the floor because I only wanted to go out once a month to shop and whatever else I delivered. So the card is a bit narrower than I thought it would be considering I bought the wide size. I thought it would hold 3 rows of 15oz cans but that doesn't quite work. You can make two rows and then add a pair in the third row, I mean just the width of the item). The length was a little shorter than I expected but it works. Just to give you an idea, I have 8 32 ounce cartons of almond milk and 4 15 ounce cans, with 4 cans stacked on top, on a shelf. The other shelf (the top one) has a box of mashed potatoes and a few boxes of cereal (because they don't fit on the smaller shelves). I use the bottom shelves for jars and cans, with most items stacked in two rows. So he's really holding a good chunk of fodder. And then you can always cut things off at the side. I'll have to test this in about a month to see if there are any sags/slumps/warps and will update the review if I run into any issues. It's only one day, one hour. I think it's a bit pricey for the small size, I'd rather pay closer to $20 for this item, but I bought it for the current price of $36 including tax. I'm still grateful that I freed up some space.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
