Review on πŸƒ Fernleaf Breeze Tropical Ceiling Fan with 52-Inch Iron Blades in Bohemian Style, Damp Rated with Quiet Motor and Downrod Mount – Light Kit Adaptable, Rustic Brown Finish by Beth Campbell

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A nice fan, not a very nice manufacturer.

This fan is really nice and just what I was looking for. Installation was easy. I gave this fan 2 stars not for that reason. I purchased this fan from Revain through stock and it was listed as 'used - good condition'. Following the installation instructions, I turn on the fan wall switch and nothing happens. I removed the switch housing and the two connectors needed to control the fan were broken off the small plastic plate. Reattachment was not possible. I went online to contact Concord fans to see if I could get a new switch housing. Seemed simple enough as I easily identified the problem. Concord fans are registered with Luminance. The contact information on their website consists of phone numbers only, no email address is provided. I called and left a message as instructed. I didn't get a reply after 48 hours so I called again earlier in the day. I was put on hold to wait for what appears to be the only person who cares about Concord fans. She was unavailable so my information was taken and I was told I would be contacted. No callback. The website provided an email address for ordering catalogues, so I used the customerservice@ email address provided and requested a delivery notification. I have attached a photo of the problem and also mentioned the difficulties I had with it. The next day I got a call that the email had arrived and asked if I had received a reply from someone else. I said no so the lady who called said she would check and get back to me. Again no call. Today I called again. Again the lady, who seems to be the only one who understands Concord fans, was unavailable. The gentleman I spoke to was polite but said I needed to contact Revain (I did and they are great as always but I still can't understand the stinky part). He gave me the part number I needed for the switch housing but said they don't sell it. I asked if not them then who since they are manufacturers. The actual answer is not given. I can't find parts for this fan anywhere on the internet. Conclusion: A really great fan, but the manufacturer does not react and does not help. I doubt the manufacturer's warranty is worth the paper it's printed on. I'll try to find the part for a few more days but will most likely just return the fan and not consider a Concord fan or any other brand of Luminance going forward.
