Review on Dorman 42415 Headlight Bulb Holder for Compatible Vehicle Models by Peris Holland

I recently bought a pair of Dorman HELP! 42415 Headlight Bulb Bracket w/ Ring for mounting a pair of 9007 LED bulbs in my 1999 F250 Super Duty Pickup. The lamps came with a case that contained a small fan on the back with an electrical cord protruding from it. The factory lamp retaining ring is about 2 1/2" long and will not fit the fan. I decided to order the Dorman rings instead of trying to cut 20 year old brittle plastic retaining rings. The last thing I needed was was that my truck is out for the night drive because the modification failed. I ordered the rings and had them in my hands the next day. Thanks Revane Prime. Dorman's rings are about half the size of the factory rings. Installation was very easy and took no more than 10 minutes Hood open I unhooked the wiring harness from the existing headlight and turned the retaining ring 1/4 turn counter clockwise and took out the old halogen bulb I fitted the new LED bulb into the Dorman until it clicks , then insert the bulb into the headlight housing, rotate the new ring clockwise 1/4 turn, connect the electric wire and the installation was completed.There are marks , indicating that they work with both 9004 and 9007 lamps. Overall I am very happy with the quality, price and ease of installation. Dorman products have served me well in the past and I'm sure these retaining rings will serve me the same. Highly recommended.
