Review on 🗿 Tiki Tissue Box Holder by Retro 51 by John Caine

I saw one of these tissue boxes in my optician's office and it was so vulgar that I had to buy it. After finding it on Revain and reading the reviews, it seemed to me that there were several different versions of this box that came out over the years that it was available. Mine arrived with the front panel ripped off the box (poor tape job) and with a flimsy mounting hook that wasn't long enough to reach the stud in the wall and not strong enough to support the weight of the box. I really wanted to show this shelf. on my guest bathroom wall, so I found a way to attach it securely with a loop of self-adhesive fluffy velcro with a punched hole to hang it on a sturdy picture hook. After gluing the front back to the box and completing the mounting hardware, I wanted to hide the photo hook and velcro loop. I got the idea from another reviewer to attach the leaves to the top of the box. I used faux palm leaves I found at Michael's craft store, they fit perfectly and look great with the stone head. The result is even cuter/funnier than I expected and I love it! Check out the photos I've added to see what it looks like. It's a little difficult to get the wipes to stick out smoothly from the huge single nostril, but I think the wall mount does the job a little better due to the downward pull angle. The reason I'm only rating these 4 stars is the condition the tissue box arrived in and all the effort I had to put in to get it right. However, I would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor who loves quirky items in their home.
