Decent budget stripe box but very blue

I work full time and was in dire need of some extra lighting modifiers for a one off job. So I got myself some Neewer soft boxes. This is a decently made box for a budget level striptease. The construction is reasonable, but some sewing points, such as B. the pen pockets, will probably not withstand repeated installation and removal. The rods will bend. they do everything Even famous. Apart from the old school fiberglass. They just break eventually. The diffused material is very light, so you can get a bit harder light with this box than others. And if you expect edge-to-edge flatness, buy big brands when you need them. There's a reason they're so expensive. Overall, this is a decent cheap striptease box set. BUT: it is incredibly blue in color. Holy cats, I thought I was out in some environment. Using a set of tried and tested flashes that I know well. I've added 2000K in the post where I usually subtracted a few hundred K on these particular flashes because they have a warm color temperature. Where I used to white balance my lighting between 4800-5000K, this time I used 6500-7000K and up to get the white balance. modifiers, then everything should be fine. But be careful, if you're outdoors with that, say, fill or key light, you'll end up with a very warm overall scene trying to fix it. Update 01/14/21: This modifier works fine. enough. So I bought a second one for my project. So now I use 3 Neewer softboxes for this job. After taking more photos (the desktop product is white on white, that's why the color temperature issue showed up so badly), it became clear that they contribute to a cold color temperature, which requires a white balance shift of at least 1000 -1500K . But nonetheless they work fine with a flash inside and after fully testing/using them I know I can easily fix a white balance problem with a 1/4 or 1/2 CTO or CTS gel on the flash head, whatever my next step is . Definitely not a "warning" against the product but something to be aware of. And actually, I can use one of these modifiers in the outdoor lighting when I want to warm up the scene a bit instead of just stroking over a strobe with a light blue gel.
