Review on πŸ”‹ Paslode Straight Cordless Battery-Powered Compressor by Brock Chisholm

Why turn a working model into trash just for the sake of change?

I have two other Paslode nail guns. This was a replacement for my finishing nailer as it broke down and I can't find the parts anymore (doesn't spark). First, none of your existing batteries or chargers will work. It uses a thumb-sized lithium battery. The compartment for gas cartridges is also half the size. I knew that when I ordered it. It shoots but doesn't deliver the nails every time. I can't drive shorter nails. It spits out the whole nail plate because the nail pushing latch doesn't snag or jump. If you need to resize your nail, good luck. The nails will not fall back when you pull the nail holder like before. You have to open the latch (oh btw how cute they made it with a plastic and spring loaded latch mechanism that replaces the solid and fully opening faceplate to reveal the nail guide) and use a screwdriver to pry the nail away from the rail. The depth setting is another mistake; Not only is the wheel plastic, but you have no idea where you are. Why change the working tool to develop this seemingly different cute toy just to change it? I'm sure it should be produced as cheaply as possible and sold dearly. I have some nails, I hope I can find an alternative to these nails. Don't waste your money on this junk!

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others
