Was pleased with the performance of this product, particularly the anti-whiplash spring. However, the cable snapped today when my 70 pound, 9 month old German Shepherd playfully ran after people walking in the driveway. I was shocked that this was due to the outer red plastic sleeve showing no wear or scuffs. The cable was only about 4 months old and was left open. After examining the break point, it turned out that the cable showed signs of corrosion. Luckily there were no cars on the road, otherwise she could have been hit!
