I was afraid that this light would "see" its own light and flicker. Not so! Lights up at night and turns on during the day. Saves money as it is an LED light that only turns on when needed. My guess is that since it emits yellow light they put a blue filter on the sensor so it doesn't see its own light. A few years ago I mounted a compact fluorescent lamp on my screw-in sensor lantern. It flickered on low power for about 8 hours, killing the bulb. It works on my patio. If they make a higher powered version I'll jump on it. This gives a much larger (and cheaper) choice of outdoor lights. Let's see what the bugs think in the spring.
