Review on OSTWIN 3 💡 Inch Recessed Lighting 3000K by Bill Dahl

I have 12 These lights installed time repairing the garage and was initially very pleased. The light color and brightness were very good and the installation was very easy. I also have 4 lights of a different brand but same size and light output installed in a different part of the garage. I wanted everything the same, but the pack size of this Ostwin didn't allow for 4 packs at the time. After about 8 months, 2 Ostwin lamps quickly started to work. I assumed it was the light itself, but ruled that out when I swapped lights in different junction boxes. The circuit in the junction box itself has failed. I ordered 4 extra packs of Ostwin lights to replace the burnt blocks and have a few spares. Now 3 more blocks are out of service and the same problem as before, a short in the junction box. Thus, out of 12 lamps installed, 5 failed in less than 2 years. The other brands I installed in another part of the garage still work, so I'll probably buy more and replace the Ostwin if they fail. **Update: 4/9/21** They keep failing, 9 out of 12 I originally installed less than 3 years ago failed. The replacement is not easy because it is not the lamp that fails, but the circuit board in the junction box. So I have to remove every junction box in the ceiling and install a new one. I switched brands and ordered 12 new ones from a different brand, this is a big disappointment.
