Review on 🔌 The Aube RC840T 240 Switching Electric Transformer: Enhanced Power Conversion for Optimal Performance by Russell Robertson

I used this to install a Honeywell Lyric T5 thermostat on a 240VAC electric baseboard. I used to have a "dumb" manual thermostat and there were no smart thermostats and very few programmable thermostats claiming to work with those systems. Found this part while looking for a solution and it worked great. I installed an Aube RC840T-240 in place of the previous thermostat (had to make some modifications and install a different junction box) and ran 3 wires to the new thermostat (C, R and W). Aside from changing my wall, it only took about 30 minutes to install. The new thermostat works perfectly. I was glad I found this device so I can keep everything in my house on one system. This is the 4th Lyric thermostat (the others control the zoned oil burner/hot water baseboard system and air conditioning) and it would be expensive to replace all the others. Recommend this to anyone looking to install a smart thermostat on an electric baseboard.
