Stylish and inexpensive ecocolar

I just LOVE this ecocolar. I've used Dogtra 1900s with my dog in the past so I'm already quite familiar with Dogtra Ecolars, but there are a few unique features in the Tom Davis version that I really like. I declare that I have never used any other ecolar brand and have researched a lot about ecolar before buying and will only buy ecolar through dogtra. 280c Tom Davis Dogtra Pros EcollarBoost Button: Boost is everything. I didn't have this feature in my 1900's and it's SO useful for training. Gain allows you to pre-program a higher level of correction which really helps correct your dog right away rather than dialing in and not setting high enough in some cases. I have been using the eco collar on my dog for over a year now and I know his working and correction levels quite well. Having a button that automatically programs its correction level is a big game changer for us and a feature I think all other ecollars should have. Bungee Collar - I LOVE the bungee collar. Our 1900s had a plain black Biothane collar and I like the bungee collar instead of the usual buckle collar. The dog is easier to put on and take off and with the bungee collar I feel like I can fit better around my dog's neck. My dog has a lot of down and the bungee cord just helps get the perfect fit. I also love how fun the bungee collar is. It's covered in colourful, fun confetti shapes and really does justice to the #nobaddogs brand created by Tom Davis. The remote control for the 280c Tom Davis version has bright, fun colors to match the bungee collar. My 1900 is a plain black that looks nice and professional, but given the bad stigma that e-collars have, I think the bright, fun colors help make it more appealing and fun. I work hard to encourage eCollar learning and I definitely think looks matter when it comes to tools like this. I really like that Tom has connected his brand to eclar and made it very attractive and fun. The Tom Davis Dogtra's vibrator/pager function has less power than my 1900. I don't use the vibration button on my dog so it didn't really matter to me. I tested the stimulation of both devices on myself and they felt exactly the same. My dog's working level is 8 and the correction level depends on the environment and distractions. I can feel the collar at level 17. Both the Tom Davis 280c and my 1900 have 127 levels. The receiver is much smaller and less bulky than my 1900. I have found that there is a range of distances between them. My 1900 has a 3/4 mile range and the Tom Davis Dogtra 280c has a 1/2 mile range. My dog has never been more than 10 meters away from me and that is neither a problem nor a disadvantage for me personally. I really think this is a great affordable stylish eco collar that is really fun and true to Tom Davis #nobaddogs. brand as a whole. The boost feature is definitely something I would love to have in my 1900's and would be very handy for training. Before you buy an eco-collar, it is very important to have a game plan before putting an eco-collar on your dog. You should NEVER expect it to be a magical tool. Please contact a trainer or find a virtual trainer if you have never used an eco-collar on your dog. Proper preparation of ecocollar will help you be successful in training. Tom Davis has tutorials that come with the device and I found them incredibly helpful. He also just launched the #nobaddogs club, giving you access to his full video library, the chance to consult with others and ask him questions about dog training in person. If you are looking for an eco collar for your dog to help with off-leash training and obedience, you will not be disappointed with this product.
