Review on 1200W Pure Sine Wave Inverter With AC Charger, DC 12V To AC 120V Output - Off Grid Inverter For Lithium, Sealed, AGM, Gel, And Flooded Batteries By Ampinvt by Sammy Suratno

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as advertised

I bought this as a backup power supply for our Harman pellet stove. I direct wired this into the panel box and connected it to four 900 amp AGM batteries in parallel and then direct wired a branch circuit to a new receptacle box upstairs next to the stove. This should; should be enough capacity to run the stove with it's 3 amp draw for several days along with maybe a lamp and TV in the evenings. The unit has an integral transfer switch that works instantly; if I shut off the breaker in the panel box to kill power it transfers over to battery power so quickly that you do not even see a light bulb flicker. It is a pure sine unit that will not damage electronics and does everything I wanted it to do for $300; the next cheapest comparable model on revain is in the $600 range. As others have mentioned I opened the unit before installation and did find the integral 120v receptacle on the box itself is wired backwards; I don't use it in my installation but did swap the wires from side to side just in case someone does plug something into it while standing on a damp concrete basement floor some day. Like other reviewers mentioned the 120 amp receptacle on the unit

Cons
  • The inverter is not easy to install, and the process may require professional assistance
