Review on ๐Ÿƒ Catan Settlers Card Tray Organizer by Charles Mathews

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It probably won't work well for anything other than Catan.

Based on the pictures and the answers to the questions, I assumed this tray would be suitable for Pathfinder RPG maps. I use five decks in my game (Critical Hit, Fumble, Tides of Battle, and Plot Twist I and II). Each of these decks contains 48 to 52 cards. It appeared that the tray could hold a full deck even at the lowest level, but it didn't. I can stuff about 35 cards in the bottom trays and the top tray overflows by about 48. Even one of the Q&A answers states that the attempt can hold a full deck of regular playing cards. It's not like this. In addition, the slots themselves are very narrow. Most of the time it should be fine, but one of my decks printed slightly larger than the others, less than a millimeter. This deck sits awkwardly on the tray. This brings me to my third point. To use a tray as a storage box, the dividers of one tray must be inserted between the decks and dividers of another tray. This is not possible with normal sized maps. This tray would be perfect if: 1) the trays were about 1/4" taller and 2) each slot was about 1/8" wider. This allows you to use 6 full decks in tray mode and keep 3 full decks in box mode.

Pros
  • Can be used as a storage box
Cons
  • Modern
