Suitable for my needs. I really needed plug spacing as some of my devices had a round or wide square plug that took up a fraction of the outlet's real estate. I know it comes in different versions but the 12 jack is great. Actually, I mostly use 4-6 sockets, but the problem was mentioned above, some plugs take up more space. The 12 slot solves this problem by having 4 dedicated slots in the corner. So basically a 12 slot has 8 in the middle and 1 on each side away from the middle occupying top left top right bottom left bottom right. I don't use it for travel as it's quite bulky (but who travels with a power surge? One thing I don't like is that the LED is way too bright. I know that's the standard these days as I I have another socket that has a green LED, but only in a certain corner of the origin of the LED, this light is too bright. Other than that, it works fine.
