Read lots of reviews before buying these as I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the expensive Luminara candles I have, many of which stopped within a year or two of general use function. They seemed like a great alternative and at least half the price! While I'm convinced by many positive reviews, I have to say that having seen them side by side in person, they just don't align with the Luminara brand. They are more orange and much darker in low light. I don't like the flat cut wax on top that barely covers the plastic shell and the wax coating is much thinner than the Luminara. Only 2 out of 4 worked on fresh batteries on arrival and the downside was they didn't fit some of my best rechargeable batteries. I use candles a lot throughout the year, especially during our haunted house tours two months of the year. I can't afford to buy batteries all the time. The button on them is completely different and it is very difficult to unscrew and remove the bottom cover to get to the batteries. Overall I think it's fine if you plan on using them once or twice for Halloween but not for everyday use and to be honest no matter how expensive they are I'll still go for regular ones Luminara brand candles decide. It also didn't come with a remote like I thought. The bottom is also a bit smaller than other battery operated taper candles so it can wobble a bit. Save your money and pass it on.
