and he's quite a big dog

so i have a 17 year old malamute/collie, i've had him for 6 weeks and he's quite a big dog. He rarely walked, staggered, sometimes fell, climbed our two back stairs, couldn't get into his favorite chair even though he picked up Rimadyl from the vet, basically just lay in the corner all day. wanted to put him to sleep but the vet said he was as healthy as an old dog could be. and he eats and drinks as he did when he was young. but I could see that the arthritis hurt him. So I actually set a date for his euthanasia, in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I decided to give it to him, hoping to make his last days more comfortable. I gave him them for about 3 weeks and honestly I didn't think they would work. So today I motioned for him to come outside with me. (he's deaf now) and although he didn't jump up like a puppy, he stood up straight and walked outside happily with no problems and walked almost normally (he still staggers, he's old). When he was done, he easily climbed the steps, climbed into his favorite chair unassisted, and wagged his tail! This dog hasn't wagged its tail in a year! I have tried glucosamine in the past with no success. I don't know if it's a brand, composition or what. but now he gets up to greet people while moving around the house, going in and out unaided! (Previously it took him five minutes to literally walk 30 feet!) I guess I don't need that appointment with the vet just yet! He doesn't act like a puppy in any way, not even like an adult dog lol. but it's much better! I'm starting with our 10 year old Rottie and our 5 year old Boxer but I see they're sold out! Help! We need them! The tablets are large, I give 2 a day according to the instructions. I put them whole in his food and he eats them. Even if I had to mash them into his food, I would still give them to him. These efforts are worthwhile because of the result. Thank you for bringing my dog back, I don't know how long but we'll enjoy it while it lasts! Please back in stock!
