Review on 🏞️ Enhance Stability on-the-go with Benro Adventure 3 Series Carbon Fiber Monopod (MAD38C) by Heather Anderson

Great monopod for the money

This review is for the Series 4 Aluminum Monopod (PN MAD49A). The first thing I checked was if it would fit in a domestic airline approved carry-on bag. Yes, you have to go diagonally for it to work, but it fits. Based on this first-hand observation, some people are unhappy with the fact that the monopod is too long when folded, which probably won't be a problem for most. The monopod is very well built, with a comfortable ski pole-like wrist strap. The included single ball mount rubber foot can be removed, but I found that to be an issue. I ended up having to place the final segment in a soft vise to keep it from spinning to remove the 3/8 bit. After removing it due to the ability to hold weight, you have several options. Not only can you add a sturdy 3-foot stand for longer setups or video recording, but if you have a heavy-duty tripod, you can mount a monopod on a tripod that increases the height for special shots. I attached my Moza Air 2 to the top of the monopod and once it was extended I used it as a crane to capture otherwise impossible shots. The quality is excellent, I have no doubt it will last for many years of heavy use. Some will find it heavier, and you can use carbon fiber to cut the weight in half (and double the price). Whether you're moving fast for a photo shoot, shooting a video, or getting into sticky situations, this is a great piece to add to your gear.
