Review on πŸ”† Improved Philips LED 474312 - 2700K Kelvin Equivalent for Enhanced SEO by Lonnie Batch

Good build quality and nice bright, soft white lighting

They are of good build quality and are available in packs of 12. Soft white is attractive because it's warm but not too yellow and not too blue. I replaced old reflector fluorescent tubes, which were also energy efficient, but I didn't like that they took a while to warm up and turned yellow after turning on before being bright and white. The packaging specifically states "Philips LED BR30 Dimmable Inner Reflector, 12 pcs. packaged, 11W / 2700K / 10,950 hrs / 120V". The packaging was very compact, much larger than I expected with only one egg-crate type box measuring 12" long, 11 1/2 wide and 5 1 /2 was high and the package arrived via UPS with no damage or broken bulbs. It saves packaging waste and reduces packaging costs, which is good. The lamp itself feels and looks of good quality, with frosted plastic lenses, which glow soft and bright when the light is switched on instantly which is really nice. The bulbs are a typical BR30 size: 5" high, 3 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" wide. It is 11W, while I've seen others that are 9W for the same 65W equivalent but the difference of 2W isn't that big.But as they aren't as power efficient as they could be and I don't know if that means the internal electronics are as good as the others I'll deduct a star if the price lower and they last at least 5 years but hopefully longer I am happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Energy efficient: Philips BR30 dimmable LED bulbs use around 80 percent less energy than 65W incandescent bulbs while retaining the look of a classic incandescent bulb; Philips LED bulbs are mercury-free and Energy Star certified
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
