Review on 🐎 Boost Horsepower with K&N Cold Air Intake Kit for 2005-2010 DODGE/MITSUBISHI Dakota and Raider (77-1546KP) by Derrick Feliciano

Overall a great product at a good price. Pros: Easy to install, beautiful appearance, and increased performance. It also sounds pretty good when you're on the go. Disadvantages: did not increase gas consumption! I know that K&N dropped the claim that they increase mileage, but there is plenty of additional information that they will increase mileage by 5-10%. Everything to install the MAF sensor is very tight and I had to cut the plastic off the stock sensor to mount it. The black metal box, which isolates the air intake from the manifolds and doesn't fit warm air tightly in, leaves about 1 inch of clearance around the bottom. Update March 8, 2013! Performance increase and that sounds great, but I've noticed a 20% drop in fuel economy since I installed it. With a V8 truck I can afford 20% less. I know they removed their claim from the website that it increases mileage because results vary, but a 20% reduction is way too much.
