SRAM makes a great chain. I've been using it for about 15 years.Of course, a chain isn't a very glamorous item, but with their Power Link technology, they've revolutionized the way you put on and take off your chain. Works perfectly. All you have to do is use the chain tool to adjust the length and you're done. This chain should replace another SRAM chain of the same model. When I replaced it it had been on my bike for almost three years. Most of the time I rode my bike. I lived pretty close to work now so it was only a mile or two a day for commuting and maybe another 20 miles a week for long distance commuting when the weather was nice. But still, it's probably 600 to 1000 miles a year and in all weathers. I've ridden in rain, snow, etc. During these three years I have regularly measured the chain for wear or stretch. And even when I replaced the chain, the stretch was still minimal. Less than 1/8" measured over 6 full links or 6 inches. It also performed great in terms of performance: the transmission was always smooth. The only reason I had to change the chain was because I traveled a lot abroad last year and it sat in a friend's garage for over 4 months not caring. The chain eventually succumbed to rust.I'm sure I could get it back if I gave it a good clean and lube but thought I would mine Treat bike with new chain for 3 years.
