We bought this for our son who he paid for with his money from family for his birthday. The reviews were mostly very good. But the reviews also came from people with a free trial of the product. Now I'm returning the product in about a week. Here's why: Pros: The case is very nice! Sturdy, well designed and easy to install and remove the drone and controller. Both the VR headset and the controller seem to be of good quality. In general, the drone flies easily. My kids and I could easily fly and fly the drone. It seems to require constant adjustments, and when there's more than a light breeze outside, it can be a bit harder to control. Once I almost sent him outside! Cons: 1) Battery life during flight was only 4-5 minutes when using your smartphone in FPV mode. That really drains the battery. If you just fly the drone, the flight time is about 7-8 minutes. But the whole point of this drone is the FPV (First Person View) flight mode. 2) It takes a LONG time to charge the battery; around one o'clock he seemed to have received a full charge. Charging on the field during gameplay takes too long. So basically you have a flight and then a while. 3) We bought this for VR headset and app. Good quality VR headset. The app is easy to use, but it doesn't always sync. And when the drone gets more than 40 or 50 feet away, it often loses sync. Also, my son wanted this so he could control the drone with the headset to get the full VR experience. A REALITY CHECK FOR PARENTS is impractical. It looks cool on YouTube, but it's very, very difficult for a beginner to fly. Imagine holding a paper towel roll to your eye and then trying to move around the house without bumping into anything. It's hard for kids. We ended up paying full price for Revain (I think $189.00 at the time) only to find the price dropped to $127.99 less than a week later. I know we could get a price match from Revain, but at the time I could tell this expensive TOY would spend more time in the closet than flying out. Not Revain's fault - only the buyer should be aware. PARENTS: I would not recommend this product given the costs and disadvantages described above. I tried explaining this to my son but he really, really wanted this Air Hog. Lesson learned. If you need a starter quadcopter, do your research. There are other less expensive options you can start with. If you really need a quadcopter for a full FPV VR flight, you should be prepared to spend a lot more. Hope that helps.
