filter with its somewhat sticky rubber edges was a PAIN in this application. This filter's "sliding" costs nothing and with the MNI cabin filter design, the filter must slide down a tortuous channel behind the glove box. I totally understand why the original MINI filter felted around the edges for smooth entry and exit. I do NOT rely on the fact that K&N filters are washable and reusable due to the difficult installation. I love the K&N designs for other uses, but in this case the designers should be put to hard work to fit them into customers' cars. You should have taken a MINI pass.
