Firstly I recently bought a Weller soldering gun which broke after less than 5 uses. So I figured I'd give this soldering iron a try based on a few good reviews. When the item arrived I was surprised to see that they also supplied solder, a tip cleaning pad and replacement tips. The tool heats up quickly and the temperature can be read on the small built-in LCD display. There's also an adjustable heat setting to set the iron at a temperature suitable for all sorts of soldering jobs. I've only used this twice so far but I've been really impressed with the performance of this soldering iron. I hope this one lasts longer than Weller.
