We ordered this for our 3 year old son. Assembly was VERY easy. The construction looks solid. The handle locks into place and the pricier model folds easily (tip: pull up when folded; pull out when folded). Red is suitable for both boys and girls. The lights on the wheels are a little hard to see in the bright sunshine (as to be expected) and my son is still working on the corner (he's new to scooters; loves his balance bike). I'm sure with practice he'll figure it out. He's been riding it for the past few days and hasn't crashed yet. For reference, he's about 36 inches tall and weighs 31 pounds, and at least he's not too small for a scooter. I would recommend this scooter to other parents looking to buy one for their child.
