Overall I am happy with the collar. Spikes do not go around the perimeter. My baby feels very comfortable in it. No problems at the moment. I bought him another black leather collar with studs and it wasn't real leather. I can't tell if it's real leather. Otherwise I am happy and my dog is happy!
