At first I thought I don't know why I need three pins but how cool! SO bought this trio. First of all, you should keep the box they come in as it contains all the accessories and the box itself is small and flimsy. I think they will serve me all my life. There are three interchangeable tips of each type. A small cap can be attached to either end to cover an unused tip. Now I know why I needed three! I keep one on my nightstand to use at night (it's great for solitaire). I keep one on my desk and use it on my drawing pad and also on my phone when I'm joking around. instead of work. And the last one in rose gold matches my phone. this is my "fancy" stylus that I use when I'm out in public. LAUGH OUT LOUD!
