Durability is still questionable, they're thick and well stitched, but I'm old enough to doubt faux leather. I had to lower spare tanks onto my desert bike and mount them on the footrest downtube. I rode 100 miles in the desert yesterday and nothing has changed since the trip since I first installed it. It looks like they will be perfect. I didn't attach them with straps as they were fitted for that, but attached them from the back with large washers.
