Review on πŸŒͺ️ Makita 199553-5 Cyclonic Vacuum Attachment: Ultimate Cleaning Efficiency by Michelle Reitz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Hard vacuum for home or shop

This Makita vacuum isn't necessarily for everyday home use, but that's what I bought it for, so I'll review both the home and workshop/site perspectives. I also purchased a cyclone attachment (199553-5) and would highly recommend it when purchasing this vacuum whatever your intended use. Without this nozzle, the filter needs to be cleaned much more often. In addition, the cyclone container is easier to empty than a conventional vacuum cleaner container. This is a useful addition. Overall, I gave the vacuum cleaner 4 out of 5 stars because, in my opinion, without a cyclone attachment and without a wall mount, it didn't really deserve 5 out of 5. The base is good but not perfect. in terms of functionality. However with the cyclonic nozzle it is a great product even for normal home use and I would give the pack a 5 out of 5. Advantages for home use: - Strong suction that can pick up most dirt/particles; With the cyclone nozzle, performance is excellent and emptying the canister is easy - Easy to operate including start/stop and emptying (especially with the cyclone nozzle) - Relatively light - Maneuverability is good and it can be difficult to reach - Reach spots with and without a floor nozzle. Cons for home use: - The vacuum cleaner only works with a trigger so it's impossible to keep it on - The floor nozzle doesn't have a brush, meaning the brush won't clean, but the vacuum cleaner may not work on carpets - No wall mount , so there is no way to hang it up. The battery system can be a limitation for some homeowners who don't already have Makita tools. especially with the cyclone nozzle. Can't rate durability yet, but overall it seems well made, maybe a little worse for the tips which are made of thinner plastic. There are Makita tools/battery packs. This means that you can have almost unlimited run time by changing the battery. For those who don't have the Makita line, this requires additional investment as batteries are relatively expensive.
