I would be very surprised if the metal was actually stainless steel. rim, most likely not. Surely this colander will be useful for many, but not in my kitchen. Cheap. Made in China. (Note: Returning the item would not make sense given the low cost and the likelihood of another item ending up in a landfill). I promise to make more informed purchasing decisions in the future.
