I discovered diamond painting last year. However, I was reluctant to try my totally non-existent creativity in it until recently I found myself at home more times than I could ever imagine, and I had more time to kill than I ever wanted in all my own life. 32 years old. A very cool friend gave me a diamond painting smaller than this one and it took me about a week to finish it. After that was done, I cleaned my house, fed the kids, and then sat by the same 4 boring white walls. It took another 30 seconds and then I jumped onto the Revain and searched for my next diamond painting. This one caught my eye. It is a beautiful painting that I could frame and use as a decoration. As always, I read the reviews and made my decision. The delivery was fast, thank goodness I stayed sane. The sticky area sticks out further than others I've seen, which is a good thing because the plastic coating has more grip to stay in place once you start placing the diamonds. Do not completely remove the plastic coating or it will dry out and the diamonds will no longer hold. The package also included diamonds (of course), trays, a sticky square and a pen. Literally everything you need to draw. I opened the painting, took out my tools and started smoothing it out. I put some heavy books on top overnight and the next day to keep the picture level and then got to work. I started the first painting from the outer edges. This made it a bit difficult to complete, so I decided to start at the bottom this time and work my way up. Before I started painting I ordered a diamond painting kit (which I highly recommend) and only started after the kit arrived. It contained containers for storing diamond drill bits. This made it much easier to get the diamonds I needed and get started. I put the drill bits I needed in my tray and started working on them. The exercises look great, and for someone who needs to wear glasses but chooses not to (because my eyes aren't fully blurry yet), having a pattern that's easy to read was VERY important. The letters and numbers are clearly visible, the colors are bold, and the painting is large enough to keep me busy for a while. I like it! The company did a great job so I will be buying a few more paintings from them once this one is done. If you love the beauty of a sunset on the beach, then this is for you. And now I will take up my new hobby π
