Makes a difference, day or night, when you shave your head. The razor glides in for a much closer shave than washing our hair with soap and water, and the blades no longer clog after a few passes. It practically doesn't smell. Two things to be careful with: make sure it washes completely off my head if I cut myself on one of the pieces of walnut shell (I guess) left in the rush one morning; Also, some sort of lotion/moisturizer should be used after shaving as there is no dead skin left which would retain the natural oils protecting the scalp leaving the skin feeling uncomfortably dry and tight. Bottom line: I would honestly rather skip shaving day than go without shaving.
