Kanoodle Extreme vs Original

Both Extreme and Original have 12 play elements (noodles). Each noodle is a string of 3, 4 or 5 beads arranged at different angles. Extreme pearls have a polygonal shape. The original beads are round. There are 56 beads in Extreme (8 fives, 4 fours). There are only 55 pearls in the original (8 fives, 3 fours, one three). Extreme has 3 types of puzzles: 2D, 3D, 2D sliding. There are 2 types of puzzles in Original: 2D and 3D. Extreme 2D playground is a 5-row honeycomb. Each row has 11 holes except row 3 which has 12. The original 2D play area is a 5x11 rectangle. The Extreme 3D base is a triangle with 6 holes on each side. The original 3D base is a 5x5 rectangle. Square. For 2-D games, Extreme has very few "low-level" warm-up puzzles and many puzzles that ask you to place up to 10 noodles. While Original 2-D has many low-level warm-up puzzles, with 6 being the highest level, you can easily turn these low-level puzzles into (much) more difficult ones by just preloading 1 or 2 noodles, i.e. create yours own level 10, 11 or even 12 puzzles. The 2D sliding puzzles are unique to Extreme. You slide off the lid to create a play area for 5-9 noodles. Place the exercise book under the game board and use the noodles as directed. Each puzzle can be solved in different ways.
