Update Colleen, the company contacted me and sent a replacement very quickly. It looks great but the photos are a bit strange. OP: It's a bit hard for my tree to use powerful 3AAA batteries. I would like to turn it on, but the cord is damaged and I don't have it long enough to reach the outlet. The tree is pre-lit and unfortunately there is no plug at the top because then you could get it working with what I have. I will try to contact the seller tomorrow to see if they send me another one. I will update
