I ran these lights around a door frame, and the length (16.4 ft.) is perfect for that purpose. All of the light options function as they should, and the batteries lasted about 12 days, having them on about 5 hours/day. By accident, I discovered that these lights do have a timer function, though there's no mention of it in the description. Once the lights are turned on, and the option is chosen on the battery box, they will automatically turn off after 6 hours, as long as no other button is pressed on the box. They will remain off for 18 hours and then turn on again. Once another button is pressed, however, the timer resets to 6 hours on, 18 hours off.
