I don't know what everyone did wrong in the negative reviews but it works great. Of course, if you hold the item upside down, the sawdust and dead skin will fall to the ground, leaving a mess. What works for me is holding my foot up (or leaning on something) and going down and filing it. The lid really holds the dirt until you turn it upside down. Easy to use, high quality, works! My heels thank you! Be careful this thing works really well and I wanted to cut my toes off and it was awkward unless you are gentler. I almost rubbed some cheese on my toes. Works very well for foot and heel!
