These small brushes are not intended for heavy cleaning. The small pad has no abrasive or cleaning power, it is very soft. It's blue in color (cleaner) that smells nice, but if you have hard water or use the toilet a lot, this might not be for you. They are ideal for regular maintenance cleaning when no cleaning is required. They are very easy to use and I love how easy it is to just toss the cleaning pad in the trash when you're done using it. I also like that it takes up very little space. Update: The first pad I used didn't foam, so the cleaning effect wasn't that good. Now I realize it must have been a dirt cleaning cloth because other listings include foam and while it won't clean heavily soiled toilets it's good for regular maintenance which is why I added a star.
