Review on Buckle Down Seatbelt Dog Collar Dogs by Tiffany Wright

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great collar! seat belt buckle? Not great

Almost a year later the collar was still in perfect condition! The material was very thick and durable and could withstand constant outdoor play. I say "was" because it's useless now. The only reason I deducted 1 star was because the design of the harness makes it very easy for another dog to remove the collar (since all it takes is a push on the center of the buckle, similar to on an old-school harness). Dogs love to misbehave and fight, which includes lots of biting on the neck. So my other dog was able to remove this collar several times. In this particular case, she (dog #2) thought it would be a good idea not only to remove his (dog #1) collar, but to eat it as well. The fact that dog #2 removes the collar so easily worries me greatly. They love to play outside while I'm at work all day, and if they somehow got away with it, a stray German Shepherd (dog #1) without a collar probably wouldn't get better treatment. I need the collar to stay on and always stay on unless I take it off myself. Fortunately, the same company, Buckle-down, offers the same collar but with a standard quick-release buckle. It's even better when they're almost half the price at Petco's online store (I bought the large size for about $10).

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
