Review on πŸ‘€ Logitech C920x HD Pro Webcam by Damyanti Negi ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

An unattractive product, an unprofitable purchase.

Saddest news of the year! Purchased to switch out for my old C615 camera. The image is now more distinct, and the colors are more accurate. Autofocus is useful, but it's not necessary. However, the noise level is extremely high. If the stereo microphone is inferior than the mono microphone on the more affordable C615 model, why bother including it? If the C920 is an older model, how did this malfunction occur in the first place? The microphone is heavily weighted toward low frequencies, but lacks any meaningful upper one; as a result, the speaker's voice comes across as robotic and muffled, just like it did in the prior camera. It's certainly louder and more colorful than in C615, but it serves little use if the speaker is mumbling instead of using clear speech. In sum, this is a major letdown, and it will be the last Logitech product I ever buy. Putting "PRO" in the name of the model is something you should be embarrassed about. PS: I returned it to the shop, and after inspecting it, they refunded my payment, saying the microphone was broken. I guess there was a major problem with my copy. But I thought I'd check out some other webcam reviews before committing to one, and lo and behold! The C920's audio has been noted to blend in with that of other Logitech cameras, both more expensive and less expensive. Nonetheless, this does not make the C920's microphone the very worst option out there. That may be at camera level, but that's hardly a sound that'll endear you to your conversation partners. Although I'm still considering purchasing a different Logitech camera, the C920 is only recommended if you have no plans to use the camera's integrated microphone.

Pros
  • 1) The picture is really clear. 2 - Charming in outward appearance
Cons
  • 1. The audio quality is terrible, and there is no lighting for the camera. Autofocus that doesn't work very well
